Blender è un software gratuito per realizzare grafica tridimensionale rivolta principalmente alla creazione di giochi. La sua peculiarità risiede infatti nella capacità di gestire oggetti animati con un complesso menù di navigazione. Dal suo interno si possono preparare gli oggetti necessari per sfruttare alla grande la varietà di opzioni su materiali e texture e ottenere il rendering per passare infine alla loro animazione.

The Windows version comes with a self-extracting installer, for other operating systems you can unpack the compressed file to the location of your choice. The free version of the software is fairly powerful and has interfaces to several game packs including Quake. Major disadvantage is that you can't export Gmax files to any other format and can't import them in 3DS Max.
